Indigo Lotus Yoga     
   Full Heart Community Kirtan




It is the intention of this group to build a community of people inspired by sacred chant, and wish to combine our energies to not only lift our own spirits up, but also help others in need.  We gather together monthly to share kirtan (Ancient Sanskrit Devotional Chants), and raise money through donations to support local families in need or local charities. These Chants are simple call and response songs, so no experience is necessary.  The only requirement is to join with an open heart.  Everyone is welcome.

Class Descriptions

Indigo Lotus Yoga is inspired by Suzanne Silvermoon’s lifelong commitment to yoga practice, lifestyle, and YOGAspirit Studios style of yoga synthesis.  This synthesis offers a guide to blend asana (physical poses), with Pranayama (deep yogic breathing), and Dhyana (meditative practices).  The eight fold path of yoga will be introduced, sharing the tools for individual transformation and self realization through the application of ancient time tested yoga principals.

 Indigo Lotus Form
Form teaches the key actions and anchors of the asanas (yoga poses) through demonstrations, adjustments and assists.  This B K S Iyengar style inspired class offers the beginner as well as the experienced yoga student the opportunity to deepen their experience of the poses, “lock in” the proper alignment of the pose within the body, and work therapeutically with any limitations within each individual’s body. 

Indigo Lotus Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa Flow is rooted in Ashtanga Yoga employing breath, and synchronized sequencing of poses that flow from one pose to the next.  This class is very energetic, builds endurance, stamina, strength, and flexibility.  The use of a specific breathing technique, flowing sequence of poses, and focused gaze create deep focus, and inner peace.

Meditation and Breathing
The ancient yogis say that an individuals life is not measured by the days they live, but by the breaths they take.  Each Indigo Lotus Yoga class places a strong emphasis on Pranayama, control and expansion of the breath.  By gaining mastery over the breath, individuals will learn  greater control over the mind.  We will spend time at the end of each class in Svanasana (deep relaxation) yoga pose.  Students will be guided into a meditative state offering the opportunity for integration of the work of the asanas (poses), decrease stress, create clarity of  mind, develop objective awareness, and energize overall well-being.

Prenatal Yoga
This nurturing yoga class specifically designed to the beautifully changing pregnant woman's body helps to strengthen, to create resiliency throughout your pregnancy, as well as prepare you physically, emotionally and spiritually for childbirth.  The Yoga Poses are adapted for your changing body to offer strengthening and flexibility without undue strain.  During each class we will spend quiet reflective time to help you discover the special gifts of your pregnancy and connect deeply to your growing baby.



Private Therapeutic Yoga
Your initial visit for therapeutic yoga involves a comprehensive history to discuss any pertinent issues, as well as current or past injuries that are affecting your overall health and well-being.   I will observe you in several beginning yoga poses and after careful review of how these poses are expressed in your body along with reviewing your health history, I develop a specialized yoga program designed specifically for you and your particular healing goals.  We will then meet again for a follow up visit to guide you through  your individualized yoga program.  All personal information is kept strictly confidential.  I look forward to assisting you toward your optimal health through yoga.
